Classic Taskbar Look
This is my preferred way of working. Quite frankly they can mess it up however they like, so long as i can set it back to a double height, auto-hide taskbar, with one row being small icon shortcuts, Really bad windows 7! It's just not for me. this content
In the themes drop-down, select Windows XP. While only disagree somewhat on how the newer modern look is really nice visually as it's time has come, I agree wholeheartedly on all his other points. As you know M$ use us as Beta testers so that may take some time. In XP I would have a quicklaunch icon for it and whenever i needed a new notepad document i would just click the quicklaunch button. The XP/Vista taskbar is fast, efficient and familiar.
