There are quite many drives out there that can't even read those disks.Always check the drive specs - they usually state overburn capacity. 900mb Cd-r Will the reader support it...this is the trickiest part, as many lasers seem to stop well before the 800MB limit, let alone 900MB. 4. It is to do with the laser burning tool inside the CD/R Player which can become faulty, but I have overburned myself a couple of times with no problems. In my own practice attempting burning 804MB resulted in a drive that could burn 620MB only - anything beyond margin was always found corrupt even if burning appeared to end successfully. BTW, I thought the "x" ratings referred to speeds - not size.

Will the software support it? If the latest VOB and Nero both show 740, I would presume that is the most you are going to be able to do with your burner.
