Once you get stronger from training on the elliptical machine you can switch to running. Or being able to cheer the back of the packers on to a monumental goal. Thanks! This is exactly how I've been feeling.
In my experience, this is the key of success as often these "high expectations" can be real killers. That means a 10 minute warmup, then 20 minutes or so of running somewhere between your 10K and half-marathon pace. In order to do this, I scoured the internet to see what I could do; there was a lot of talk about the "Couch to 5k" program. It answer a lot of my questions I had for you. ;O) I started running a week ago, and I already can run 1 mile without stopping but nothing more.
