Cant Start Computer After Installing New Video Card Drivers! Help!

In fixing my old computer, building this one and now fixing this one I've learnt a great deal. Since, you try to load under Windoze then it isn't seeing or hasn't found the driver it wants. In the manual the socket is listed as "ATX 12 volt power connector". Is it normal for a failed motherboard to have the normal green power led on? Anyway, the motherboard seems to be fine, considering I can run Linux from a cd on the pc. Installed New Gpu Black Screen
If he's pushing so hard he thinks he's damaged the mobo, there's definately something wrong. I say bad card. I guess some probably line up easier than others or are smoother for whatever reason. As a side note, your new video card *may have* been the last straw, it blew the PSU in some way since it may need more than its capable of sustaining. And are you sure they showed the card which you gave them they could be showing you another card. We may be having a different problem because I was getting beeps. Well I checked for bad caps and I think I can say fairly certain that that's not the problem. Make sure the wattage of your power supply is up to the job of powering your new video card. Computer shop fixed it up for free, thanks for all your help everyone!
