That actually would result in what you’re describing: what looks like an empty disc, because it’s not showing those hidden files, and yet the disc would still show as using space So, I am in quest for some work around and solution or options; does the disc drive need a firmware update, or the bios, perhaps some of the posters simply need If you wish to reuse a disc (CD-RW/DVD-RW/DVD+RW) you have to erase it first using Disk Utility. I tested the files and they were working just fine. Do you know if it is burned as a single or multi-session disc or as a UDF formatted Disc? But it has been burnt correctly, as they've checked it on a separate windows work PC (and I did of course check it before sending it out). Burned Cd Shows Blank Any suggestions.

Different programs may call it different things but you need to find the option that prevents you from adding any more files to the disc. I'm guessing their drive's on the outs and they just haven't realized it yet.
